One advantage of having a private homebirth practice is that I am able to personlize women's care to fit their expectations for their pregancy and birth experience. 

As a Midwife licensed by the State of Florida there are guidelines that are followed to ensure the safest, healthiest outcome for you and your baby. 

Prenatal visits can be done in your home or at the office.  Prenatal schedule is as follows

-  Initial Prenatal visit will include completing necessary paperwork, a physical examination and initial blood work.  When you have lab work done each test will be explained to you so that you are informed about each and every part of your prenatal care.

-Subsequent prenatal visits are every 4 weeks until you are 28 weeks

-From 28 weeks until 36 weeks the visits will be every 2 weeks until 36 weeks.

-From 36 weeks until the birth you will have a visit every week. 

Ultrasounds are optional or, on an as needed basis, and will be scheduled at a facility close to you for convenince. 

Your care consist of the prenatal visits, labor and delivery, newborn exam, and 3 post partum visits. 

As your midwife I am on call 24/7.  You will never get an answering service. 

Childbirth education classes are avaiable.
